elcome to Island Marine Service and the main office for Badgers Island Marina. Flash back to 1992 and the dream of a young marine mechanic to leave the freshwater ponds of central Massachusetts for the Atlantic coast to work on "bigger nuts and bolt".

Island Marine Service started as a one man operation with a pick-up truck, a box of tools and the drive to become successful.

In 2000, little did we know just a few years into our newly established company that the leased property on Badgers Island was sold to develop condominiums. Island Marine Service was forced to relocate its entire operation to a new location 1/4 mile off the island on Walker Street. At the same time we entered into a purchase and sale agreement for Badgers Island Marina. 

The purchase of the marina with its paved boat ramp and 100 ton marine railway was paramount to the continued success of Island Marine Service to insured complete and total access to the working waterfront. Quickly outgrowing the Walker Street Location, Island Marine Service found a new home in 2005 at its current location on Route 236 in Kittery.
